Design Brief Design a book cover that measures 6" x 9" for the existing book, Balance by Scott McCredie. The copy to be used is as follows (from most important to the least): Book Title, Subtitle, and Author's name. About the Book After the shock of seeing his fit father fall for no apparent reason, award-winning journalist McCredie became curious about the physiology of equilibrium. His extensive and creative research has led him to conclude that balance is the overlooked sixth sense and crucial to our survival. -Seaman, Donna | Copyright © American Library Association. All rights reserved The Design Concept The unbalanced type represents society's lack of awareness of the importance of physical equilibrium in the latter years of our lives. Contrast is also created between the crooked type and the word it forms. The shadow formed by the title guides readers to the subtitle of the book, "In Search of the Lost Sense". The subtitle was placed in a vertical fashion in order to encourage readers to open the book. Balance Book Cover |
