About this Project A project that I handled pro-bono in an effort to give myself a break from web design. I took on the task of creating a back to school flyer for Gama, a Korean restaurant, bar & lounge in New York City. Front Side of Flyer Back Side of Flyer Concept Since this flyer featured lunch specials geared towards college students in the area, I decided to take the 'class notes' approach. The idea behind this flyer is to connect students with personal experiences dealing with taking notes in class. I remember back in my college days when I'd use to daydream in class and actually start writing /drawing my dreams out subconsciously onto my notebook. On other days, I'd doodle in my notebook or have chicken scratch for notes from the lack of sleep from the night before. Drawn from such personal experiences and after hearing similar stories from others, I decided to crumple up some paper, stamp it with the 'official mark of academics' (the coffee stain), and fill it up with notes, doodles, and other things taken in class. Yes, it was a mish-mash of different elements, but I enjoyed every minute of it. :] None of this would have been possible if it weren't for...
