Concept
On September, 5th 2005, Joomla! (www.joomla.org), an open source content management system, held a contest for forum members to design a new logo and a t-shirt for the new application.

For my logo submission, I selected the platypus. In my opinion, it was the ideal animal to represent a CMS because of its multi-faceted characteristics. Also, the platypus paid homage to the creators of Joomla!, whom were also from Australia.
