The Airloom: Interviews and Key Findings
Monday, 01 March 2010

Running in parallel with paper prototyping, we conducted several interviews with young families to determine whether or not there was an addressable market for the Airloom. We summed up our notes via KJ analysis and found that there are four overarching groups: family, technology, memories, and form.

These groups also aligned with our key findings from our interviews:

  • Photos are still being passed down from one generation to another (form)
  • With the advancement of technology, people are finding clever ways of using services like email to create a visual history of a new family (technology)
  • Traditions instilled from previous generations are passed down (family)
  • Photos are used as visual cues to recall memory and to tell a story (memories)
