Saturday, 27 February 2010

This prototype embodies the same goals as the previous prototype. The only difference is the form and interaction.

Two noteworthy components of this device are the watch band and the watch’s face. A user’s task is displayed on each segment of the watch band. When a user completes a task, they drag the task on the band into the watch’s face, which will then update the data display. In this display, the user is informed how many tasks, percentage-wise, they have completed in achieving a goal.

The following two photos show the bracelet/watch with a strip of vellum paper sliding underneath the display. This sheet of paper will be used to do further exploration during user interviews when describing different use cases for the device.
