After a brief conversation yesterday with a classmate (thanks Jeff!), I was inspired to look further into purchasing the .lu domain name. I did a quick check to see whether or not it was available and to my surprise, it was there, sitting on my screen, waiting to be picked up. Who wouldah thunk?! Afterwards, I did a quick Google search on European domain registries and found http://www.dns-stock.com/. Forty-two dollars (29.00€) later, I was the proud owner of gene.lu. And that's my story. Thank you Luxembourg! 

Oh, and if some of you are itching to pick up your own creative domain name, check out domai.nr. It's a site that auto pieces together interesting domain names. Fun stuff!
