So is this what kids in Japan are playing with nowadays? This particular Busou Shinki character came packaged with about 100 different pieces allowing for full customization. Things from hands, hair, and facial expressions can be changed for hours of fun... yay(!).

On a Sunday late afternoon in Yoyogi Park, I stopped by a sidewalk sale. Lots of things from purses to coins to other antiquated items all lined up along the sidewalk. With a modern/minimal design accented by a vibrant green, a lamp jumped out at me.

Kore wa ikura desu ka? (the extent of my Japanese speaking abilities)

And the lady replied with 400 yen, which equates to approximately 4 bucks. Woo!

After several months of use, I am perfectly happy with this lamp. No knobs to turn, compact in size, and beautiful in design. It makes for a great bed lamp and design piece.

I apologize for the lack of clarity that the camera on my iPhone offers, but I'll make sure to get some more decent pictures up soon.
