After procrastinating until the last minute, I finally gathered my thoughts and created this card, just in time for An Event Apart 2008 in Boston. Actual production time took about 3 hours whereas the concept itself was from an idea I had a few years ago. The Concept
In order to maintain the genelu.com 'brand', the design of the card aligns with the design of this site. The front side represents a blog post (minus the tape at the top) and on the back side, you'll find the source code that produces the design on the front.
On the back side of the card, some of you web-savvy folks might be wondering why the text (the 3 points about me) isn't showing on the front side of the card. Using an imaginary CSS class called "FFF-aboutMe", the text was 'set' to the color white. But what about SEO?! Well, it's because I wanted the introduction, "Hi, I'm Gene Lu" along with my occupation to visually pop the most. Although the code isn't SEO-optimized, the visual imagery of the card is EYE-optimized.  Front of Card  Back of Card |
