![]() Preparing for the run of the Japanese people in 3... ![]() 2... ![]() 1... ![]() GO! ... Random guy runs into the middle of the intersection ![]() A few seconds later... ![]() All sides come together to form Voltron Okay, I know that was interesting to watch from up top, but how about from 1st person perspective? ![]() 3!... ![]() 2!... ![]() 1... Yikuzo! ![]() Dodging human asteroids like Luke Skywalker with R2D2 sitting shotgun ![]() People of all ages ![]() Almost to the other side! So this intersection doesn't look as bad as it does. People in Japan seem to have a high tolerance for one another, especially in public places. I realized this a few days later when a few of us got onto the train departing from Shinjuku to Roppongi on a Saturday night at around 11pm. Trains stop running at 12am and resume at 5am, so you could imagine how packed it got. Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos that night. Even if I did have my camera on me, it was so crowded that I was unable to lift my arms up. Videos like this one come close to what we experienced, minus the employees with the white gloves. lol. Now, imagine this happening in New York City. I reckon someone would be shot / stabbed / spat on / kicked / etc.
