The Hamburg Cell, a group of radical Islamists, executed the 9/11 attacks under the guidance of Osama Bin Ladin, Atef, and Khalid Sheik Mohammed. The following is a network diagram illustrating the formation of the Hamburg Cell prior to this tragic event.

One Friday night, I spent a few hours riding back and forth on the M42 crosstown bus so that I can present you with the following visualization. Enjoy!

Prototyping User Experiences
Running in parallel with paper prototyping, we conducted several interviews with young families to determine whether or not there was an addressable market for the Airloom.

Prototyping User Experiences
After our initial sketches of what we thought the reporting/managing experience would be like, we performed a couple of participatory designs with paper prototypes and screencasted the first team draft of the interface.

After presenting the Watch and the Dongle in class, we were told that our prototypes were not context-specific enough. After another night of brainstorming with the team, we came up with the Airloom, a device that passively records conversations and photographs family members around the dinner table.

This second of two prototypes embodies the same goal as the Dongle; a device that keeps track of our short term tasks that need to be accomplished in order to achieve long term goals. The only differences are form and interaction.

In the upper right corner of the whiteboard wall, you'll notice a half-pilled shape drawing of a device, which we've called the Dongle. The Dongle is a device that keeps track of our short term tasks that need to be accomplished in order to achieve long term goals.

Prototyping User Experiences
After bringing in our physical materials from the first class, we were split up into groups based on what we wanted to achieve with our first prototypes. I joined Kristin Gräefe, Russ Maschmeyer, and Evinn Quinn for the duration of the semester in researching, ideating, prototyping, and creating a unique device that will serve to keep people mindful and aware of their surroundings.

Prototyping User Experiences
For our first assignment in Prototyping User Experiences class, featuring the guys from Frog Design, we were to bring in a sample of a physical material that we were drawn to in both touch and feel. This and the remaining prototypes that follow would all fall under the topic of awareness/mindfulness.
