I'm sure some of you riding the NYC subways have seen similar messages while trying to avoid that awkward stare from the person standing in front of you. Earlier today, I caught myself reading this message (minus awkward person) and was intrigued by how unconvincing the ad was.

If the Health Department can put out powerful campaigns like Marie from the Bronx, why can't the MTA?

Tiffany Guidice, a fellow web designer and I recently took 10 minutes out of our day to redesign SEED magazine's website. Our goals were to better align SEED's site with their brand visually and to improve their leaderboard clickthrough rates. Also, we wanted to provide a solution that didn't require much bandwidth from the site's producers to have to rejig the whole site.
