What this entry is REALLY about is a tool and technique I recently added to my web design process. Inspired by a color theory class taught by Phil Warish over at the School of VISUAL ARTS, I've started to analyze the value (light and dark) of colors used on sites and its effects on site readability.

While on the platform this morning at the Union Square train stop, I heard someone cursing and talking nonsense. I looked to my right and it was a homeless person starting out his Wednesday morning just like everyone else. I briefly ignore his babble and go back to doodling in my Moleskine. All of a sudden...
