We got the chance to rent out bikes for the next 3 days for a mere ¥300 ($3 USD). For anyone that's planning on hitting up Tokyo, this is a definite. The two travel guides that I have (Lonely Planet and Frommer's) never mentioned doing such things so add this one to your itinerary if you decide on visiting Japan. Anyways, here are some pictures from our ~12 hour journey from Asakusa to Akihabara to Ginza to Ueno and back. Yes, the 'tour' sounds a bit extensive and yes, it's because we got lost.

With an appetite to explore more of the area surrounding Asakusa (pronounced uh-sucks-suh), me and Will decided to walk over to the museums over in Ueno Park... in the rain. Armed with crappy, non-waterproof umbrellas that were on sale at the Asakusa train station, we braved what nature had in store for us.

So after close to 14 hours of being suspended in the air and crossing strange terrain, we are finally in Tokyo, Japan. Here's a quick visual account of our flight in and the first day in the city.
