 Prepare for battle!
The gates of Nijo Castle have finally reopened (from 9-4pm[?]) and we were welcomed in to learn and experience what Tokugawa and his feudal lords did on those Sunday afternoons after a long week of warring along with their preparation for the new work week.

 All Aboard the Shinkansen!
That's one large web 2.0 looking button, aye? Anyways, we head into Kyoto via shinkansen (bullet train) for a night's stay to check out old Japan. Without any real itinerary, we take a peak at our Frommer's Tour Guide book for some suggestions and to summarize everything: check out a shrine, temple, and a castle. Simple enough, right?
